I live in Delhi and wants to file defamation case in Jabalpur

Hi, I have won a private complaint case filed against me and my family members at Jabalpur M.P. and we have won the case (judgement date 5 sep 2017) . I live in Delhi, may I file a defamation/harassment case at Delhi or I would need to file it at Jabalpur only.

As per the Civil Procedure Code. The suit for compensation/damages can be filed where the defendant resides or where the wrong was done to the person. So, you can file the same at Jabalpur.

hi u can file the case anywhere what does the.order say.and.all.what areyour.chances.if.u.have.file.it in.delhi and all has the other side.filed anyncase in.the order u.have won the.case what.does it say.and all

Hi, You can file a separate case for Defamation in Delhi. A litigation done by them will not be a ground for a defamation case. Since you stay in Delhi you can file a case. That litigation which you have won stands as a separate litigation.
