First of all you should get the tenant verification as soon as possible. and if you are sure that the FIR has already been registered against you then you should approach the court and apply for an anticipatory bail so that if the police arrest you in future then you will be released on bail. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Dear Client You need to submit an application before the court for this rectification and removal of your name as an accused. In case the matter has not reached court yet, you make approach the investigating officer and move an application furnishing the correct details of the landlord. Feel free to reach out in case of further discussions.

you and your mother will have to appear before the court once the police submits the FIR to the court and the court will then subsequently issue a summers to you for appearance. non verification of talent is a offence though a minor one. if there are no other offences made out in the FIR and this is the only offence that the police has booked you under you will have to pay a fine as imposed by the court. in exceptional cases the court can also impose a jail sentence. you must hire a lawyer to represent you in court. should you have any query feel free to contact me.

As the promulgation made by a public servant/authority is of mandatory in nature. As here the case in hand the promulgation for the verification of the tenant made by the public/authority was needed to be done mandatorily and you have failed to comply with the same. For not complying with the same you have been booked under section 188 of IPC which is an bailable and cognizable offence and trailable by any magistrate judicial or executive . You need to engage a lawyer for this criminal case.
