You can engage another counsel if somehow you have lost your trust on the existing counsel. Because as you have stated that the post mortem report shows that it is a murder. I think you need to pursue the matter for getting justice.

Is it a state case ? If yes. Then please note: In the case of state under law the state counsel conducts the prosecution case. Your sister case come within the purview of 304 B IPC. If allegation of Demand of dowery are there and she was subjected to cruelty for the demand of dowery. Rest the 2 ingredients are clearly the marriage within 7 years from the date of death and unnatural death which is also clear from the post mortem report. If these aforesaid 3 facts are there then the onus to prove innocence of accused is on the accused. For details you may send the documents and may take prior appointment through LAWRATO. If FIR against in laws is lodged then its wrong to say thatvthe lawyer taken bribe. Case will be investigated bybthe police and u should pursue ur case with police. Give all supporting evidences to police and there is no need to meet the lawyer till the police is investigating the case. If police do not investigate the case in right manner then u meet the DGP n request him to transfer ur case to crime branch or CBCID. if u still unsatisfied then u cam approach the High court for forther action/direction with the help of a criminal lawyer. I m conducting a similar matter in High court where CBCID investigation was directed.
