Cheque bounced 4 years ago given for payment of goods how to proceed

Can I file a FIR for a check that had bounced four years back while I had not filed a case nor issued a demand notice then? It is to be noted that the check was given to me for payment of goods that I had delivered to the drawee.

Although there may be limitation issue you may choose to re deposit the cheque and get ot bounced again and once you receive the BRM from bank . Send a legal notice with a built up story

How do u know check has bounced it might be probably invalid as check can only be cashed for 3 - 6 month u won't get any benefit in this case.

U/s 422, 463, 468 u can file a case if you have sufficient proof regarding the non-payment of your consignments in this time period and sbould also present a valid reason for not filing any case in this time period, it is better if you go for a civil suit for a payment of your pending amount of your good.
