Cheating/fraud of money by a man of Ahmedabad city

A man has taken 500000 Rs. From me and from so many people, total 36 lakhs.he gave cheque of 36 lakhs which was bounced. One of our friends has filed case under 138 where my name is also there as victim. But I want to file separate fir under 406 and 420 ,but police is refusing. Please help. Want to get my Money back soon.
i red your story but first you file cheating fir and thereafter you can give negotiable instruments act 138 notice to other side so your money definately return as early as possible because brech of truth and cheating both are different matter so share your papers I will give you detailswise advice to you

If police is not taking case then send a detailed case on the email of SP of concerned district and then send a registered post too.

if police is not registering your complaint you have alternative remedy of filing complaint before the magistrate court and if your complaint makes out the case your complaint will be registered and will be proceeded in same way.
or you can approach high court by filing a writ petition and get directions of registering an fir and police will do as per directions of the court

Approach the DCP of the concerned jurisdiction with a written complaint, and if at all DCP also is not entertaining your complaint, then you can approach the court u/s 156(3) CrPC. Court generally don't directly direct the Police to register an F.I.R but an enquiry may be directed to the police u/s 202 CrPC by court.
