Accused in another district - money fraud

I am in Thane and the accused is in Nagpur. Can I submit a complaint at local Police station? Do they have a right to refuse it? It is s a money fraud case.

If the offence is committed in the jurisdiction of Thane police then they can investigate the case. You got to file a complaint with it providing all the details along with the proofs whatever you have with you. Police will investigate

Well, it doesn't matter, where the accused is. Police Complaint has to get registered where the Crime takes place or gets committed. So, if you go to your nearby Police Station to lodge it being a victim except a Complaint of Woman Victim of Rape, then, your Complaint won't be entertained.

you can lodge complaint in local police station. they don't have any right to refuse it. if they refused to you then you can send your complaint via post to superintendent of police. but you should describe here what happened with you.
