Indian Railways and IRCTC providing poor service
13-Jan-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I have booked 1st class AC ticket for a family of 4 during covid period. The train got short destined (Not touching the destination). I have filed for TDR within the stipulated time.
I have received only partial amount (20% approx) instead of full refund. I am following up with IRCTC on this issue and requesting for explanation and review of this case.
IRCTC forwarding my request South Western Railway(SCR) and telling they are helpless and action has to be from SCR. I see SCR is not taking any action. It is already 4months I have started and 2 months back a new TDR is opened by SCR. There is no progress further.
Issue a legal notice for deficiency in service and seek refund of the amounts paid along with interest and compensation.
Should they fail to respond, you can approach the consumer courts to redress the issue.
