Denied Boarding into Air India Flight

03-Sep-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I had a flight booking for my son from New Delhi to Kuala Lumpur and he had all the necessary documents and travel permission from Malaysia Govt to fly from New Delhi to Malaysia. We booked ticket in Air India Express under Vande Bharat scheme. But he was not allowed to check into the flight by Air India staff at the airport. I would like to file a case against Air India.

I have perused the contents of your query and would advise you to issue a strongly worded legal notice to the concerned directors of Air India followed by a complaint under the consumer protection seeking refund and compensation

If your son was denied entry without any sufficient reason and it has cause him prejudice which is beyond the compensation. A strong case can be framed out against the AIR INDIA because of the denial of entry to the flight despite having all the necessary documents violated the fundamental right of your son and a consumer case can also be framed out of the facts and circumstances of the case.

What was the reason for not allowing him to board. This is the issue which pertains not only to deficiencies of service but also infringement of fundamental rights.
