Course from Lakme, Didn't Deliver in Time & Provide Committed Service

I visited Lakme Academy (franchisee) during March 19, in Ambala city, They suggested me for basic makeup course of 30-40 days (handwritten page available) but they didn't provide any brochure / prospectus even after request. They ensured following:
> Books and Original branded products shall be provided;
> Theory for one week and then practical sessions for 6-7 kind of makeups
> Makeup practical classes also to train me and offered extended hours practice will be provided in case I need;
> Course will be completed within 30-40 days max.
> Will give chance to attend fashion shows for practical exposure
I paid 25000 for this course in two installments whenever they demanded before completing the course (receipts attached).
I started course in April 2019 and found many false commitments like:
> Theory classes for approx two months
> Lack of trainer (only one) availability
> Lack of products availability
> Few practical sessions
Many more, pls advice.
hello you can file a consumer complaint before consumer dispute redressal forum for the refund of the fee and compensation for the deficiency of services as these institutes does not fall under the definition of educational institutes so you have right to claim as a consumer.

You can send a legal notice for deficiency in service along with criminal offences if any are made out and claim refund along with interest. Thereafter if there is no response then adequate actions can be taken before the courts.

Prima facie, this is a direct case. You are well within your rights to seek redressal via the consumer forums. You don't necessarily need a lawyer for the purpose. Though it is better that you get the complaint drafted by a lawyer. Also, serving a legal notice first might as well do the deal for you.
