Procedure for change in name in CBSE certificates.

I want to change my name in CBSE certificates and also I have made an application to CBSE Chairman. In reply, the authorities state that Court ordes are required for change in name. Kindly guide me as to what is the procedure and what suit is to be filed; whether suit for declaration or a suit fo madatory injuction a writ of mandamus directing CBSE for the same is to be filed. And whether affidavit and publication is required and if so, then how to publish it in official gazette.

You firstly give the affidavit and publication in the newspaper and thereafter a Writ of mandamus in the concerned high court can be filed for change of name in the certificates. you can also file suit for declaration before civil judge of your jurisdiction but according to me a writ can be better and expeditious remedy.

Pl spell out why do you want to change your name in CBSE records., If there is any mistake in CBSE records you want to get rectified or Change of name is your recent decision ? If there is no error in CBSE records and you want to go for a new name , the situation would be different and difficult
