Can the wife file NC on behalf of her husband

Can a wife file a NC Complaint on her husband's behalf in a police station ? If not, then how to get rid off police pressure to get into a settlement. P.S: Cheque being "stopped payment"

U can't file Nc on behalf of ur husband, but cheque settlement is nothing matter of police, because they have no right to settle the cheque case or matter. Cheque matter is a solve if both side is ready to settle amicably.

Hi not need to go to Police. First send notice and file case for cheque bounce. If the Police are pressuring you to settle matter make complaint to senior officers like ACP, DCP, Commissioner. And yes you can make complaint or file NC on your husband behalf.

For the dishonorment of cheque their is special enactment under the rubric as Negotiable Instruments Act you don't need to file complaint at police station you shall use the remedial measures as contemplated under NI Act more particularly as per S 138 of NI Act

you can take your written complaint or copy of mail to the police station athorising you to file the complaint on his behalf and also ask for written refusal . you have to provide detailed facts of the matter .
