What to do if a person is not responding to me after money taken

I have been given a cheque for 3.5L and he is not responding to calls. How can i forward in this case

HI
First present the cheque in the bank within 90 days from the date mentioned in cheque.
Once the cheque has bounced, issue legal notice within 15 days from the date of cheque bounce.
If there is no payment or no reply within 15 days from date of notice,you should file a case u/s138 Negotiable instruments act in the court.

Is that cheque is dishonored?, then you can take a bank not on it and report it to him through a legal notice from an advocate saying it will be roots to a legal action on him if he not responds on the concern.
