What if someone keeps one of your old cheque and bounces after 4 years

My brother had purchased some ornaments with goldsmith balance was 100000 INR and had taken my cheque as a grantee without date and every month my brother was paying 5000 INR in cash every month for 3 years and after 4 years he produced the cheque to bank for a closed account and bounced it filing a complaint, please advise how to overcome this issue?

Before filing a case of Cheque bounce notice will be issued to you.You have to reply the notice and if they are nor satisfied they will file the case. You can contact me with all related documents for further course of action.

Better you go the HIgh Court and quash the proceedings. Yours' is a genuine case provided you collect necessary evidence from the concerned bank like date of cheque books issued to you with respective serial numbers. More advise in person with any advocate.
