Stoppped payment of cheque with adequate balance

I gave cheque for buying agricultural land on 13.02.20 After 1 week money was not withdrawn from my account. I stopped payment of cheque. I informed seller that i am not interested in buying as no agreement was made till date. Seller submitted cheque in bank & cheque bounced. Now party is threatning me of cheque bounce case against me. What can i do to safegaurd me against this matter.

hello, weather the party issued notice under 138 act, then you have to give reply I through an advocate that the cheque issued as a security and dealing was cancel. if the party filed any case under 138 negotiable instrument act then that will be the matter of evidence.for further more detailed discussion just contact us

when your cheque got bounced and do you received any notice till date to institute a case of nia 138 party shoul be served with notice within 15 days of cheque bounce giving time period of 30 days to to return the money
