STOP PAYMENT of cheque is crime

I had issues a cheque to my developer . But He is not developing construction site after one year. Now he is forces me to pay cheque amount. Otherwise he is sue me .

you had issue cheque to your developer. but he is not developing construction site after one year. now he is forcing you to pay cheque amount. otherwise he will sue you. for that we need to discuss your case

you need to issue legal notice for why no construction. was the cheque undated? in the notice it will be written not to encash ot deposit the cheque about his sue and all, before he does you need to take legal action first. if he takes first step then you will have to answer but if you take an action before him, he will have to answer. let me know for any legal help. regards

whenever you issue a cheque it is bound to be an honour. However, the cheque is always aginst a legally enforceable debt. If your developer is not following the conditions of contract then you can inform to Rera and stop the payment of the cheque. There are several safeguards under the law for the protection of investor so take legal action against the developer.
