Not an issue you will get your money even after the death of your uncle. There will surely be legal heirs of your uncle who will be in command after his death. As legal heirs come in picture to share proprty or bank accounts and other things . You can claim the money from legal heirs and they have to pay you the same.

In this regard, i advice you that criminal liability abates on the death of the accused and therefore you cannot sue him now or his legal representative but certainly you have civil remedy and can file suit for recovery as against his legal representative for the said money under cheque. You have good case and will definately succeed in court of law. For further clarification, please contact.
