The process of cheque bounce is a process of summary trial and it usually takes 6 months in the normal course of time, but if unfavourable conditions arise it may take a year. The proceedings take place in front of a special judge designated only negotiable instrument cases, so it takes less time.

Courts dealings with cheque bounce matters adopted fast track process to deal with the matters for an early disposal.
But the technical process of summoning/ calling the accused before the court is time consuming, for a byparty decision and after appearance of accused(rival parties) before the court if settlement was done than with in few dates matter will be settled.
In case he denied the charges then trial starts and will take time depends on numbers of witnesses from your side and defence side to ,
