Person bought goods worth 30k and gave cheque which bounced what to do

I am plywood shop owner .A person bought goods worth 30000 from my shop.He gave me cheque of 27500 .His cheque is bounce.Now He is not recieiving my call What I should do

Dear for that as per law u have to first of all give notice immediately after bounce cheque and after that give him time of 15 days and after that if he is not ready for same u have to file sec 138 matter into court

First of all send a legal notice though lawyer regarding cheque bounce and after that file a case against a fraud person in small cause court.kindly contact me your problem will be solved other discussion will be done afterwards

Hi,

You will have to send a legal notice within 30 days of date of cheque bounce through a lawyer.
If the opposite party dont make the payment within 15 days of Notice, You will have to file a complaint in the concern court within 30 days of expiry of notice period u/s 138 NI act.
Beside this you can file a summary suit for recovery of the amount along with interest and litigation expenses under order XXXVII.
