Non-bailable Warrant Issued on cheque bounce

17-Jul-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
My friend has a cheque bounce case for 13 lakhs. Originally he has to pay only 8.5 lakhs but he has no proof of it. The party filed case under 138 and now non-bailable Warrant is issued. My friend didn't attend any court hearings on this case as he lives in sourthen india. He has no job and money to pay. What he can do? Please advise

Firstly apply for the bail and secondly it's not excused that your friend does not have money he is required to come before court and prove that he does not owe the 13 lakh amount to the complainant then he he may get to relief from the court.

your friend would be declared a proclaimed offender if he does not appear in the court after non bailable warrants. If he appears, he has to take the bail from court. He can contest the case that no such amount of 13 lakh is due and the cheque has been misused.
