Multiple cheques given by builders dishonored,can I send single notice

4 cheques issued by a builder bounced Due to insufficient funds can a single notice be served and only one case can be filled instead separate for each cheque

Yes it can be done. Single cause of action arise against one party. There will be one complaint, provided there is one respondent. However, it must be done within 30 days of cheque bounce and file a case in next 30 days.

Sure, you can issue a single notice/ file a single case u/s 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act for all the bounced cheques, issued by one party. In addition to this you can also file a consumer case towards harassment suffered by you, depending upon the facts of the case, provided you have not done full and final settlement with the builder..
