Is husband responsible for wife's check bounce

Sir my wife taken 20 lakhs from my brother for her use and transferred into her account she given a false cheque which bounced.after that restitution of conjugal rights going on for both. My brother put a case against her. Am I responsible for cheque amount. she deceived me in various property issue.pl suggest me.

All are family members
It's a family transaction and not a money transaction
So the said transaction is not for the discharge of liability
So she can escape from liability from cheque bounce case
Your brother cannot claim or recover from you for the said transaction in to the account of your wife
