Intentional cheque bounce & black mail
11-Dec-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
Sir, Actually i had borrowed Rs.3,00,000 from a person, for which i had paid back Rs. 1,72,500. The person is saying that the re-payed amount is only interest for the capital and i have to repay the capital immediately. Since, at present i'am unable to payback the capital, he had presented a cheque (Rs.50,000) without my knowledge given by me earlier. When i got a msg from the bank, i had requested the bank and gave a stop payment as i had no money in my account. Now he is threatening of legal against me. Kindly advice on how to go about it. Thx and Regards.
You have to send a reply notice to him denying the allegation putforth by him. If you have entered any promissory note as regard to Rs.3,00,000/- you have to pay the interest as entered in promissory note. If he demands excess interest of money then you can very well give a complaint against him for exhorbitant intersest of money demanded.
