Employer Threat that submitting Cheque in bank, deposited as Secuirty

Sir/Madam,
Currently working in a company where last month my employers asking us to submit Cheque for security purpose(In Company Whatsapp group) if not then stop our salary,due to that i submit cheque of 24K in favor of company.
last week i got new opportunity they ask me join with 15 days.then go to asking resignation ,my employer said me serve for 2 month or they present cheque in bank
i doesn't have 24K in my account to pay ,no other employers wait for 2 month.
pls. provide your sugg.
Hello, how long have you been working in your current company? It entirely depends upon the employment contract & company policy, in relation to the security deposit to be taken or not in near future? Yes this is the protocol that every company follows, the person who is highly technical or any senior position in a company usually the company mandate for 2 months notice period. It depends upon you that you have to continue or switch it up to you, & I assume the cheque is not placed by your employer in bank if placed then it will be tried under 138 of Negotiable Instrument act, then the scenario will be differ then, well as per the description you provided (employer - employee cases) the jurisdiction covers under by the labour court. i you have that whatsapp conversation then you can lodge F I R against the employer or also have right to send legal notice from Advocate. Cheque bounce case is a criminal case so be careful before doing anything
