Contract is over but party is not repaying principal amount

21-Aug-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
I had invested some money with a builder for monthly interest payments. The builder gave me a cheque as security for the principle amount. The contract is now over and he is delaying paying back my money. I deposited the cheque which has been rejected due to insufficient funds.
