Dear client,
You can send a notice to the co calling upon to pay the said amount . In case the co fails to make payment you can file complaint before magistrate court having jurisdiction within time stipulated in neg instruments act.

I am assuming the cheque hasn't expired and was bounced quite recently. You should straight away send the company a legal notice for the bounced cheque as thats the legal requirement. After that you can file s.138 proceedings under the NI Act and get your money back.

Unless the details of the cheque i.e the date of issue, date of deposit into Bank, the date cheque return and whether any statutory notice under NI Act has been issued are made made available and also the purpose for which the cheque has been issued is mentioned, I cannot suggest anything.
