Clarification on place to file a cheque bounce case

Mr. A has given a Gwalior branch cheque to me which i presented at my dehradun bank branch and got dishonoured here. Now i have filed a case at dehradun, but Mr A has raised objection on its jurisdiction and trying to transfer this case to gwalior..can gwalior be the jurisdi tion in this case coz i am a senior citizen women and it would be very difficult to me at every aspect if case get transfered at gwalior.. Kindly help me out in this case...... Regards

As u have stated that u have filed your case in Dehradun their is no aspect through which the case can be transferred to Gwalior because of the lastest amendment of the N.I act 2015 n in this case the person who has presented the check in his bank the local jurisdiction applies

You can file the case in dehradun itself where the cheque has been dishonoured.as the new rule has come now that where the cheque has been presented there only in that area jurisdictions the case will be filled
