Cheque bounce case convicted Judgement
04-Mar-2024 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
Hello,
Judgement is passed in magistrate court and i am convicted. I just want to know what is the next step. If i apply in session court what is the procedure, should i deposit any amount? My lawyer states that i need to deposit 20% of claiming amount(Cheque amount) . Is it true
Since i am convicted how much time will i get to pay the amount that is cheque amount
Dear Sir,
Normally, you will be given Thirty to Sixty days time to pay Twenty Percent of the cheque amount and get further bail. Again you can drag the proceedings before the Sessions Court for about two years then you may go to High Court if Lower Court conviction is confirmed. Thus you will get ample opportunity before the High Court.
