Dear sir, You first filing a report before the police station for missing of cheque and informed the police regarding threatening. Cheque receiver can misuse your cheque and might be filing dishonor case against you so take precaution to save yourself. Give feedback please.

Well, ultimately your cheque has been dishonored by the bank & so landowner may file case against you . In my opinion you should have to file a complaint stating & disclosing entire facts before the appropriate forum as soon as possible to pressurize him to return the older cheque. For further may consult.

As per law complaint case can be filed under negotiable instruments act for cheque bounce. However punishment depends upon proving of liability. If you have taken possession over the land and payment regarding that land is complete then in that case you have an option to file a complain regarding that with some elaboration. Better will be to contact a lawyer . Some practical solutions cannot be explained in this platform.
