Can cheque bounce case be filed against the nominee after the death

My father had a small business suddenly he fell ill & gave 2 blank cheque to my uncle to pay vendor debt. now uncle & vendor is making unreasonable demand & claiming 8.5 lacs which submitted in bank but the cheque returned(bcoz we have intimated the bank about my father's death in written) now vendor is saying he will file a suit on Nomniee. Can the vendor file a case on us ?

You don't provide the complete information:
1 Date on which cheque made.
2. Date on which date it represented on bank whether it is within time .
3.when death of u r father happen .
But As per your question whether case can of cheque bounce can be filled ?
Ans As per Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881:No cheque bouncing case can be filled against Legal representive of drawer.
Note: But civil suit can be against legal representive inorder to realize the amount of debt.

Yes is the answer, subject to the condition that he is duly nominated in the father's a/c and the opp. party has complied with all the requsite formalities of bringing the nominee on record within the specified time limits.

Yes they can file a civil case against bounced cheques but they can't file cheque bounce case.
Civil case like a money recovery suit basis on cheques against legal representative of dead person.
Liability of Lrs limited to assets which they gain from his father.

Let him file the case. No business liability can transfer to their nominee if there is no documented responsibility. .
