Book Company Has Put 2Check Bounce Case On My Mother. Business was done by my father and my father has passed away 2 years back. Father gave check on my mother's name. I contacted owner directly and told that my mother is old and we want out of court settlement. We agreed to return all books and pay 8 lakh. Now owner is saying to just transfer the money and return the books and he will get the case dismissed.. should I just pay the money without any written agreement?

An Agreement must be signed.

no you need to have written agreement before paying anything. it,s important to understand the importance of case. what are obligation are putted against you. what is the penalty clause. how much money is claimed in case. for best approach go with court settlement so that no future liabilities will be pending.
