Procedure to make affidavit to transfer dead parents account to son

hello sir  my parents have died with in a year i am the only son of my parents they had a joint bank account in sbi branch the bank had demand an affidavit to withdraw the amount from their account than please tell me that what is procedure to make it and what would be the documents will require for this thanks and regards

show them the death certificate of your parents. Secondly check who was Nominee in third bank account form. Thirdly give a affidavit as per their requirement. Also provide them the Aadhar details of all of you.

It is rather simple. The bank may have a standard format for the affidavit. You can use that or else an affidavit can be drafted and if the same must be executed before a magistrate or not. Please ask your bank to mention what facts and assertions need to be covered in the affidavit. If you are based in Delhi, a e-stamp paper will be required. The affidavit will also need to be notarized once signed. Your parents'death certificate and you ID proof showing the names of your parents may need to be enclosed with the affidavit. As per your query I like to inform that you can get an affidavit prepared from the notary located in court complex.You have to bring id proofs bearing your photographs which establishes the relationship of yours with your parents and also documents showing the death of your parents.

Affidavit needs to be stated your full details along with relationship with account holders and identity proofs showing your fathers or mothers name or names as mentioned in account. Also affidavit needs to be attested by notary public or oath commissioner.
