Breach of privacy by a bank for collecting pending credit card dues

29-Aug-2023 (In Banking / Finance Law)
I've a credit card payment pending and the bank was unable to contact me because I'm currently outside of India. The collection department reached out to a distant friend of mine, told them that I'm due on my bills and enquired them about my contact details. I was shocked to learn this from my friend. I see this as a serious breach of privacy and trust. What are my rights regarding this ?

Hi,
There is no breach of contract, because you have given the reference phone numbers and address at the time of filling application for credit card. You are a credit card defaulter and with out communication with the bank. So it may reflect on your cibil score in future. So please keep your cibil score better. Have a nice day , good luck.
