Q: Bullying In College By A Lab Partner

I am being bullied in college by my lab partner.We both are 19 year old male.Details of the bullying:-1)shouting/being mean2)telling the teacher that I don't work and thus the teacher giving me 7/10 instead of 10/10(happened once)3)out of frustration snatching a disc(a lab equipment) from my hand.(Happened once)4)ordering me to do his work.What do you think should be done?And which of the above 4 are illegal ?and i can take legal action?

Ragging or bullying is punishable offence under penal law, however, there are no laws that directly deal with ragging or provide directives to the judiciary as to what punishments must be awarded for ragging. Victims or aggrieved parties can however seek respite under the purview of the Indian Penal Code and register an FIR in relation with incidents of ragging that fall under other relevant sections of IPC. Some relevant section are mentioned hereunder:- sections of the IPC under which students can file FIR for non-violent incidents of ragging:Section 294. Obscene acts and songsSection 339. Wrongful restraintSection 340. Wrongful confinementSection 341. Punishment for wrongful restraintSection 342. Punishment for wrongful confinementSection 506. Punishment for criminal intimidation. In cases of extreme ragging that includes violence, an FIR can be pursued for the following sections of the IPC:Section 323. Punishment for voluntarily causing hurtSection 324. RCR अर्थात दाम्पत्य अधिकारों की पुनर्स्थापना एक साथ रहने का अधिकार है। हिंदू विवाह अधिनियम, 1955 की धारा 9 एक पीड़ित व्यक्ति को एक उपाय प्रदान करती है यदि उसके पति या पत्नी ने कोई उचित कारण बताए बिना उस व्यक्ति को छोड़ दिया है। यह उपाय दाम्पत्य अधिकारों की पुनर्स्थापना के रूप में प्रदान किया जाता है। आपके कथानक अनुसार आपकी पत्नी आपके साथ ही रह रही हैं और पिछले ढाई साल से आपको और आपकी माता जी के साथ क्रूरता और प्रताड़ना कर रही जो कि तलाक़ का एक आधार है जिसे न्यालय मे साबित कर के आप तलाक़ की डिक्री ले सकते है। अधिक जानकारी के लिए आप वकील साहब से संपर्क कर सकते है।
