Q: Traveling abroad in 498a case without updating court

HI , my ex-wife file 498a on me 3 years back and i got bail easy as it was a fake case. i have to go Dubai for some personal work for a month. But don't want to update in court as its a long process. what legal action she can take if she got to know...?

Q: Does a wife has to return streedhan in mutual divorce case?

In a mutual divorce case, whether a wife has complete right on her streedhan or husband can ask to return it? Is there any intervention of court in this matter that a husband can't ask to return streedhan even in mutual divorce case??

A husband has no control over his wife's 'stridhan' (woman's property) and while he may use it during the time of his distress, he has a moral obligation to return it to his wife, the Supreme court has reiterated while directing a man to pay Rs 25 lakh to a woman in return for her lost gold. The woman in this case claimed that 89 sovereigns of gold were gifted to her by her family at the time of marriage. Additionally, after the wedding, her father gave a cheque for Rs 2 lakh to her husband.
