Do you have any evidence/acknowledgment of the cash that was given to you. You can corroborate it with whatsapp chat, messages or any electronic evidence.. They have a case against you only you are not able to prove that there was exchange of cash from from your side.

Q: Cancellation of unfair uppcl electricity bill

Sir, I went to district consumer commission for the cancellation of an unfair electricity bill which was in my late father name has been delivered at my house after 8 years and that bill has many entries those are wrong or doubtful but commission has dismissed my complaine in the absence of documentary evidence only without going into facts and consider the electricity bill of uppcl which itself not correct. Can I file a case in high court against commission challanging it's dismissal order .

You can approach state consumer commission (scdrc) against the District consumer forum order in an appeal against the said order. A review of the orderof the forum is also possible, although its chances of being allowed are far less than that of a appeal.Against the order of the commission, the remedy lies in an appeal to NCDRC ie National Consumer commission

I have filed an application u/s 482 crpc on 12.04.2024 in High court lucknow bench for challenging the dismissal of discharge application by CJM and Its revision by session court . the petition off 482 pending more than a year , only one hearing where court issued notices opp. party & no stay and opp. party filed vakalatnama . niether state nor opp. 2 filed counter affidavit till date..... what will be the next step as no counter affidviate filed after time passed?

ask your advocate to file listing application in the court having jurisdiction of 482 . There are fresh appointments of many high court judges recently and hopefully pendency of the cases will come down.If there is any fresh documents that needs to be filed or fact that needs to be brought on record file a supplementary.

Section 160 of the Act provides for the statutory remedy of appeal against orders of the Municipal Board or its Chairman (Nagar Palika Chairman).The appeal is to be filed before the District Magistrate (DM) of the concerned district.The District Magistrate (DM) is the appellate authority under Section 160 of the U.P. Municipalities Act, 1916.If you are aggrieved by an impugned order of the Nagar Palika Chairman, you have a statutory right to file an appeal under Section 160 before the District Magistrate, who will act as the appellate authority.
