My husband and I have been living separately for 15 months. We had a love marriage, which our parents later accepted, leading to an engagement ceremony. However, frequent disputes between our families created a lot of tension and hatred, preventing us from having a public wedding. With no other option, we started living separately.

After six months, my husband took me to his parents' home, and for three months, we lived happily. My family even arranged a wedding reception for us. However, after my brother’s marriage, new disputes arose between our families. At the same time, we were both jobless, which added to our struggles, leading us to separate again.

Since then, my husband has never cared for me, and I feel he has taken me for granted. After six more months, our families got involved again and separated us completely. Now, we have been apart for 15 months, and my husband is not willing to discuss our marriage at all.

Yes the Marriage Certificate is important. Though it is not compulsory to register your marriage, the marriage certificate plays vital role. Without certificate means without registration of your marriage. After getting marriage you may not get it register but still it is not advisable to do so.

Q: How to get my original divorce papers from a court in different city?

Im in Bangalore. My divorce went through Mumbai Court. I would prefer someone who can help me via calls and email and post me original Divorce papers, as I cant visit Mumbai.
