Q: Who appoints the date for registration of flats with the registrar
Regarding Registration of flats in Thane. Sir, Please tell who gives the date for registration, whether the purchaser fixes d appointment for registration as per his choice or it is given by the Gov't office . I m having urgency for flat registration as I am staying outside mumbai, but I think my broker he is acting as per the choice of the seller and saying that appointment. date has still not come and he is not taking dates.

Hello, As per my view, all the process of getting an appointment for registration of a property as well as payment of stamp duty can be done online. The date of appointment is based on the availability of tokens online. Generally a token is available in about 3 days time. The process is pretty simple. I see no reason why your broker is not able to set up an appointment. The appointment can be taken from the website igrmaharashtra.gov.in after paying the stamp duty and completing the required public data entry. Hope this helps. Thank you.
