Q: Landlord died - can landlord daughter evict us immediately

Hello, my landlord passed away last month and her daughter messaged me on watsapp that she is giving us 1 month notice to evict as she is the legal heir. Can the daughter do that before the property is legally passed to her? Also, the daughter told she will hold off 50% of my deposit (total deposit was 1.5lac) and will return that later after inspection. There has been no damage to the property, can she hold my deposit for normal wear and tear? If yes, what's a reasonable amount?

The following are simply observations based on what little information has been provided.There are many questions to be answered for e.g.:1. Which state is this property in?2. What is the nature of the agreement?3. What are the terms of the agreement?4. Is the daughter a beneficiary under a will, executor under a will, legal heir or administrator.5. Regardless of question 4 how has she managed to obtain Probate for the deceased's Will or otherwise Letters of Administration within 1 month? Without such a sanction simply being a legal heir she cannot assume the role of the deceased.

Q: Received a message from Amazon seller

I purchased some products from Amazon and since it was damaged wrong I returned it and I got my refund but after some days amazon seller threatening to send him money or product back or he will report against me to police FIR legal action but product already returned to seller. He said I sent wrong product to him. But they always check before taking back the product.. now I contacted amazon they told me don't worry we will handle this u don't need to involve in this. Now what I have to do ?

The following are just observations based on what you have conveyed.It would be a good idea to retain any and all written communication with Amazon and the seller. Further, it would be wise to insist that all future communication be in writing. Based on the facts provided the seller seems to intend to intimidate you into paying him. However it is not quite clear what offence he thinks you have committed. Even if he were to suggest cheating or misappropriation of property these would be non-cognizable offences (generally) - i.e. the police will not show up at your door to take you away.
