See, you have to consider whether you are really dissatisfied with your advocate and on what grounds. Try to find out the actual reason, as many times certain things are beyond the control of an advocate, and in such cases blaming the advocate is wrong. However, if you want to change your advocate, go to your present advocate and ask him to give you a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Also, pay him any due fees if applicable, and he will issue you a no-dues/NOC. Then you can engage the services of a new advocate.

It is a serious offence, and the police have the power to arrest without a warrant if a complaint is made. You can try talking to your wife in a calm and respectful atmosphere—don’t lose patience. I believe things can still be settled. However, if needed, you may take the help of an advocate.
