STEPS TO LINKING AADHAAR WITH AIRTEL NUMBER THROUGH  OTP

The government has coordinated mobile companies to provide the facility of linking mobile number with Aadhar through OTP as well. However, only those customers who have registered their mobile numbers with UIDAI will be able to avail these facilities. Those consumers who have not mentioned or updated their mobile numbers in Aadhar will not be able to avail this facility.  They will have to visit the Airtel store or retailer for re-verification. The following steps explain how the Airtel mobile number can be linked with Aadhaar using a one-time password (OTP) :
 
Step 1 : The first step would be to call on the toll-free number 14546.
Step 2 : Next you have to choose the option between whether you are an Indian or an NRI.
Step 3 : The next step would be to Press 1, giving consent to re-verify the mobile number using Aadhaar.
Step 4 :The fourth step would be to enter your Aadhaar number and then confirm by pressing 1.
Step 5 : At this step, an OTP is sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 6 : You will be required to give consent to your operator to pick your name, photo and DOB from UIDAI.
Step 7 :Now, the IVR reads out the last 4 digits of your mobile number.
Step 8 : You will be required to enter the OTP received.

STEPS TO LINK AIRTEL MOBILE NUMBER WITH AADHAAR OFFLINE

Airtel customers have to follow these simple steps to verify their Airtel mobile number with Aadhaar:
Step 1 :You have to visit the nearest Airtel store.
Step 2 :You will need to carry a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card as well
Step 3 :Your mobile number will be required to be given to the executive
Step 4 :You will receive an OTP on your mobile number
Step 5 :You will now be required to submit your biometric data, i.e. thumb impression.
Step 6 :You will receive a confirmation message within 24 hours.
Step 7 :You will now have to send a text message with ‘Y’ to complete the process.
