Gift deed must be registered.Gift through notary is fully illegal .when somebody gifted any person it must be register in Register office. not only in west Bengal it applicable in all over india.

Sorry to tell you but I couldn't understand what you want to know 'gift deed against notary' which one is legal? Both are legal but gift deed is much better as it is a registered one and has some value whereas notary is plain notary it is not registered.
