Can NRI buy layout plot that is converted from agriculture land

Have a layout plot which is converted from agriculture land. Can an NRI buy the property?

HI,
yes he can buy the property.
it is very important to verify the documents very carefully before purchase.
important documents to be verified,
1) permission document which given permission to convert the agriculture land into plots.
2) pahanies, khasra pahani, ror, sethwar and pattadar & title deeds of the agriculture lands.

Hi
A lay out plot once converted from agricultural to residential after completion of proper formalities
1) permission granted by Gram panchayat/ DTDC/ MDA etc) and
2) Lay out plan approved by Gram panchayat/ DTDC/ MDA
shall no longer be an agricultural property.
So a NRI can purchase such properties which has land conversion approvals and also approved lay out plan for residential plots.
No worries.
