Whether serving notice if not mentioned in letter objectionable?

can IT company in Delhi force an employee to serve complete 1 month notice period even though it was not mentioned in the offer letter and no service of agreement was signed by the employee in regard to this. The employee however has already served a notice period of 15 days but company is not willing to agree on anything
