What if i am not given permanent position in handicapped quota?

15-Mar-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I am physically handicapped. I am working on a contract basis in a government sector. They are making contractual workers permanent on discretionary basis. The 3 percent handicapped quote is also vacant. What can i do if they don't make me permanent?

We will have to see their specific qualifying policies.. but depending on how long you have been working we can look at filing for permanency.
however, if there are riders we can still file a writ to have the same removed depending on your background and previous decisions.

Based on your nature of job and the contract involved therein either you must approach the Labour Enforcement or file a Writ Petition before the concerned High Court. The proper forum to approach can be decided after getting proper inputs about your nature of job and for whom you are working and the related bylaws or rules. But before all you must first send a detailed representation to the concerned authorities and other senior authorities. Based on their response/reply only you can approach the court/forum there after. All the best sir.
