JAT OBC quota in job interview

26-Sep-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
When I applied for a government job in november 2014 I was legally under JAT OBC quota but later on the quota got cancelled by court. So on my Roll no. and application form it is mentioned that I am an OBC candidate, so what will happen now, will I be considered as OBC or my application will get rejected because my current status is general, what should I do now?

You should stick to the form and the description mentioned by you as per then prevailing circumstances. As you make progress in the exam and subsequently becoming eligible for the selection you should divulge the fact as to how you were eligible to fill up the form under OBC quota then and how the recent developments led it to you becoming a general candidate and your application and merit shall be calculated under general candidate only until the situation returns back to the position when you filled up the form.

At the time of submission of your application since you were legally categories as O.B.C,, therefore it is not your fault and on that ground your application can not be rejected although now you would be considered as a general candidate.
