Institute not refunding my salary deposit what to do

20-Feb-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Dear Sir I am employed as a faculty in a private college in Bangalore. At the time of joining, I was informed that, a salary deposit of Rs. 60,000/-will be deducted from my salary in three installments and was also supposed to submit the Original highest degree certificate as a deposit to the college. Recently, I had collected back the certificate in January 2017 and from that onwards, my salary has been withheld by the administration. Irate by the incidents, I had put down my resignation and now, the institution claims that the salary deposit will not be returned as I am leaving the institution before the period of one year and also neither confirming acceptance of resignation nor releasing my salary even 3 working days after sending mail intimating resignation. Please suggest how to proceed further in this regard

There are several steps you can take. First I would like to see your employment contract if you have entered into one to seek if you have any special remedy under the contract. Apart from that, we can send a legal notice calling upon your employer to pay. If he/she fails to pay, we can file appropriate proceedings in court. Do get in touch with me for further information
