Wife is not agreeing to return post delivery of our son. What to do ?

27-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)
Dear Sir, Me & my wife both belong to Hindu Family. Since our marriage on 22nd November, 2015 i have been missing my wife always as she works during the week and almost every weekend she goes to her parents home. I had been understanding all these days when she wanted to be with her father's family almost every week. She has been in her parents home post completion of her 8th month of pregnancy. Now my son has completed 3 months. She has been postponing the return to our home from 3 months post delivery to 5 months & now to 9 months. When i asked her to talk honestly, she said, If i want to see her & our son, i have to come to their home only. Her family has always demanded me to visit them every week. Last week my wife's uncle called my father & humiliated him as i could not visit my wife's home. Due to this, my father (already a heart patient) started to feel stressed & eventually suffered a heart attack on 25th April. What options do i have to make my wife & son come back home?

The elders in both families should sit down and discuss to solve this problem amicably - if that doesn't workout, you can file a case in the family court under section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act seeking restitution of conjugal rights

please know that since 35 years woman is financially empowered. She is much influenced by media. Her independence is supported by laws.
You must have counselling with experts to know how to manage such wife. You visit her till she realizes that you are the husband, better comparing to others. Yours is a newly wedded life. Take advantage of the situation and enjoy the life convince your father. Legal options ruin your matrimonial life. Good Luck.

First file a petition for restitution of conjugal rights. Normally in family court there is a procedure called mediation where both parties can resolve thier differences in the presence of an experienced mediator. That's the best available way to rejoin with your wife. Lot's of couples have re-joined. Hence that's the best bet.
