Can Domestic voilence be filed on own brother and his inlaw's family

I am 50 years old unmarried working woman, and I stay in the house which was built by my father. My parents are no longer alive. I have a brother who stays with his wife, child, his mother in law and father in law in the same house I live that is by fathers home. They have confined me to a single room and occupying the entire house. They are mentally harassing me. Can I file a 498 a against them. Your assistance will be highly appreciated.
As per information given by you prima facia it is advised that you can intiate complaint under protection of women from domestic violence act but can not file under 498A . Further advice will be given on further details

You can definitely file a case of domestic violence against your brother his wife and his in laws who are torturing you in one or other way but not under section 498a. U can not file case under section. 498 but u can file case for partion of property and u can claim for your right. Under that right u can sell of ur part and live peaceful life in some other area
