Whether registration required for gift deed what are the charges?

My maternal aunt wants to gift my mother Rs. 15, 00, 000 for purchasing an apartment in near future. Is is required to prepare a gift deed? If yes then is it to be registered or whether it wl attract stamp duty. Also please mention approximate expenditure.
Any transaction or purchase any movable or immovable property more then Rs 100 must be registered under the Registration Act.
Gift deed must be registered under the registration Act.
In west Bengal gift to blood relation Stamp Duty is 0.5% of total valuation of property and Registration charges is 1.2% of total valuation.
