Rights of child after divorce and adoption procedure

my fired got divorce and husband has not contested.Both are living separately for more than 2 years.They had child she my friend. Now my friend want get married. Is it necessary to get the child adopted by the new father to avoid any legal consequences. Original father has not put any claim for the child. Pl email your guidance.

if the biological father grants a no objection for the adoption of the child by the new father, then adoption is possible.
